Description
This informative and informal discussion session, provides the information you need to know about new employment laws enacted in the last year. Additionally, the session discusses trends, both nationally and regionally, that could lead to new laws in this state. We will discuss the best practices to comply with the laws and the downside for non-compliance. Discussion will include Pregnancy Accommodation law, Pay Equity Laws – Equal Pay Opportunity Act (EPOA), Fair Chance Act, Ban the Box, Salary History Questions, Exempt vs. Non-Exempt Classifications – State vs. Department of Labor.
